Senay Home Test07446.jpg

Senay began her training under the watchful eye of Royal Academy of Dance examiner Sheila Laing. As well as completing her ADVANCED R.A.D Classical Ballet certificate she also undertook 3 years of Full-time training and was awarded her Diploma in Performing Arts at the Sheila Laing Academy of Performing Arts, Adelaide.

Like many Australian dancers Senay decided to further her experience and training 'across the pond'. She traveled to Europe at the age of 17 to undergo an audition tour of classical, contemporary and Musical Theatre colleges.  She was awarded a full scholarship to attend Laine Theatre Arts and made the move to  London shortly after her audition.

After immersing herself in the new world of Musical Theatre and completing her training she embarked on the beginning of her professional career.

The following 12 years allowed her to travel the globe and expand her performance experience. She has worked within the many facets of the dance industry including Musical Theatre, TV, Live shows, UK Arena tours, Theatre, Opera, Fashion, Cruise ships and Corporate events. Senay was also the co-creator of the career development intensive working with Awareness through Dance UK.  Alongside other London professionals she created a  guidance program for new graduates. The intensive focused on audition preparation, self awareness, confidence, becoming a 'smart' dancer and marketing oneself as a 'business'.

She also expanded into choreography and teaching  and was Head of Dance at The MGA Academy of performing Arts, Edinburgh From 2012-2016.

Her company, The Dark Horse Agency was launched in April of 2019. She now represents 35+ performers within the theatre and dance industries. The agency provides industry support alongside representation.

Dance for me is like breathing. It will always hold a very special place in my heart. I am not ashamed to say that it defines me as a person and everything else in my life in some way is shaped around it. I believe dancers are the luckiest people on this planet. To find a ‘job’ that gives you so much joy and fulfilment is rare indeed. Nothing compares to the feeling of performing. But something tells me I may be biased:)
Find something you love to do and they say you will never work a day in your life.......
Couldn’t agree more.
